Born and raised in Augusta, Georgia, Hodges is a filmmaker who has worked in commercials, music, and documentaries. In middle school he started making local commercials and it gradually snow balled into low budget rap videos and short films. While in high school he interned on HBO's THE WIRE as a camera assistant and he quickly became obsessed with everything filmmaking. A few years later, his shorts were recognized by Martin Scorsese and was awarded the Young Arts Award for Cinematic Arts.
After graduating college, he fell into the commercial world directing spots for Chevrolet, Coca-Cola, and many other major brands.
In 2013, an opportunity came to go on tour with an independent Americana artist, Corey Smith to document the road. A one month commitment turned into two years and he fell in love with the adrenaline rush of tour life.
While living in LA, Hodges had an opportunity to shoot a documentary for the band Lady A and once again this snow balled into a multi year relationship. He's worked with the band for over four years now and currently resides in Nashville.
His documentary projects have been featured on Gizmodo, Popular Mechanics and VICE.
